Please note: The Town Hall/Market House located at 907 Princess Anne Street is temporarily closed for renovations. The Town Hall/Market House will reopen in April 2010. Please visit us at 1001 Princess Anne Street at the Catherine W. Jones McKann Center.
We recommend 2 hours to tour both facilities. Please review our Gallery Guide for the layout of our buildings' galleries and Museum Store. The Museum offers a cell phone tour to supplement self-guided visits. Visitors must use their own phones and plan minutes. The Museum does not provide cell phones for this tour. Personal use of cell phones in the galleries is discouraged. Restrooms are located on the ground floors of both buildings. Both Buildings are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are available at both buildings. Entry should be made through the rose garden at the Town Hall/Market House and on Princess Anne Street at the Catherine W. Jones McKann Center. Parking is available for Museum visitors with disabilities at the Fredericksburg Baptist Church lot located in the 1000 block of Princess Anne Street. Emergency signals are communicated by alarms and intercom. Museum staff is trained in emergency and evacuation procedures. Some displays have audible alarms triggered by intrusion or inappropriate use. Museum PoliciesPlease help us protect our collection and make the Museum a pleasant experience for all visitors by following these simple guidelines:Parents or guardians shall provide supervision for children under 14 years of age while visiting the Museum. The Museum does not accept responsibility for children left unattended. Please refrain from touching exposed objects in the exhibitions. Consumption of food, candy or beverages in the galleries is not allowed. Recorded video surveillance operates throughout the buildings. Photography and video are prohibited in the galleries. The Museum experience is one of learning and reflection. Please be considerate of other guests, and do not engage in loud or disruptive behavior such as yelling, running, pushing, or leaning over balconies. |
