Volunteer Opportunities
Interested in history, community and volunteerism?

Do you have a strong commitment to the Fredericksburg community and a love of history?
As a volunteer, you can donate up to hours a week, or once a year in one of these terrific positions. Give back to the community while learning more about our rich heritage.
Opportunities include:
- Gallery Assistants
- Are front-line volunteers who greet and educate visitors to the Museum
- Outreach/Public Relations
- Help maintain and advance the Museum's image at community fairs and events.
- Research our collection
- Some of our collection of local artifacts needs extensive research and documentation; volunteer to help plug the holes today.
- Special Events, Fundraisers, and First Fridays
- These events are a tremendous way to get the word out about the Museum and how to get involved. Before we can do that though, we need your help to set up, serve refreshments, and much more!
- Mailing Committee
- Meets as a group periodically to mail Museum program information; this is a hard working crew, but they love the great informal social setting.
