The Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center is an extension of your classroom and offers a variety of specialized learning opportunities for you and your students, all based on Virginia's SOL's. Students learn about Native Americans and early settlement, the impact of the Rappahannock on Fredericksburg's development as a Port Town, the experience of the Civil War on soldiers and civilians, and gain a better understanding of the causes of the Civil War.
