In association with the exhibition, Fredericksburg Rx, join us for our fall Evening with an Expert lecture series "The Doctor is In: Cure, Care and Remedies on back Roads and Battlefields."  The second lecture in this three part series will focus on Civil War Medicine Myths.

Few subjects in American history are more wrapped in mystery than Civil War Medicine.  This program will untangle myth from fact and paint a vivid picture of what was perhaps the most trying and intense period for America's emerging medical establishment - a time that saw surgeons assume a prominent but controversial place on the medical landscape.
